Leadership Development in Shanghai – on Multi-Speed and Impact Driven

Recently Claus Rydkjær, Mannaz CEO, and I [Jason White] had the pleasure of sharing Mannaz’ perspectives on Multi-Speed Leadership and Impact Driven Learning to an engaged and focused audience at the Royal Danish Consulate in Shanghai.


Starting with coffee juice and Danish pastries, it was a great opportunity to discuss with CEOs, Senior Leaders and HR professionals about how they are experiencing digital disruption for their businesses in China. This sets a stage for how leaders might need to respond with a multi-speed leadership approach to accommodate the various parts of their business. This resonated well with many of the leaders we spoke to.


We then presented our research on the Impact-Driven Learning which explored what organizations are doing to measure the impact of their leadership development initiatives. We shared an example of our work in which Mannaz and COWI were awarded the Gold Award for excellence in practice by the European Foundation of Management Development.


It was a great event with many great conversations about leadership, business and life.
